Air India Cabin Crew Set To Get New Uniforms Designed by Manish Malhotra
A report claims that Air India may modify the attire for its female cabin crew members. The flight attendants of the airline have been wearing sarees for 60 years. However, this could be altered by November, when a more modern look could be implemented.
For the new clothing, the female attendants will wear churidars, and the male attendants will wear suits. According to the report, renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra would create the uniform. He declined to comment on the same due to a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
A second airline executive made a suggestion that sarees might still be an option for uniforms. According to the source, among the suggestions made for consideration were ready-to-wear sarees that mimic traditional ones without requiring complicated draping.
According to reports, the new uniforms will resemble Air India’s rich red, aubergine, and gold color scheme. Additionally, Vistara may use the same uniforms after the merger.

The new appearance of Air India would be unveiled following the delivery of the brand-new Airbus A350 aircraft, according to CEO and Managing Director Campbell Wilson. In October or November, that is anticipated to occur. However, Air India hasn’t yet released a formal statement on this topic.
