Emirates recently turned on its codeshare agreement with Batik Air, giving its customers access to 25 Indonesian points on a single ticket and a single baggage policy, increasing flexibility and connection choices.

Under the newly activated agreement, Emirates has placed its code on 8 routes operated by Batik Air via Jakarta to – Balikpapan (BPN), Denpasar (DPS), Medan (KNO), Manado (MDC), Padang (PDG), Surakarta (SOC), Surabaya (SUB) and Makassar (UPG). In addition, via an interline agreement, Emirates customers can also easily access  17 more domestic Indonesian points via Jakarta and Denpasar, to cities such as Praya (LOP), Semarang (SRG), Sorong (SOQ), and more.

Emirates began operating its inaugural aircraft to Jakarta in 1992, and has since been providing service to Indonesia for almost 30 years. By transporting foreign tourists, business travellers, as well as necessary air freight to and from international markets, the airline continues to support the rehabilitation and expansion of Indonesia’s tourism and trade industries. Garuda, the national airline of Indonesia, and Emirates earlier this year announced a codeshare partnership that gives Emirates’ customers access to eight additional domestic sites in Indonesia in addition to Jakarta and Bali.

  • A cocooned 60-inch curved wall for privacy while maintaining a spacious feel.

Passengers traveling together can enjoy a shared experience with a sliding divider that creates a lounge-like space. The stowable tables also allow for “buddy dining,” where two people can dine together.

The cabin’s flowing curves, inspired by the iconic Concorde wings, create a welcoming and stylish environment. Additionally, passengers can now wheel their luggage directly into their personal storage space, making settling in easier.
