The plane window shade that could charge your mobile phone..!

A plane window shade that uses solar power to charge mobile phones, laptops or tablets could be on the horizon.
Passengers would be able to plug electronic devices into a USB port on the window blind, which would use solar panels facing the outside of the aircraft to top up the battery, The Telegraph reports.
The Solar Eclipse has been designed by B/E Aeorspace, a Florida-based aircraft interior manufacturer, which has filed a patent for the invention. It was last year shortlisted among the finalists at theCrystal Cabin Cabin Awards.
“Super-efficient, thin film solar cells integrated into the window shade convert the high-solar irradiation available at altitude into energy,” the company explained in its briefing at the awards.
Charge ports on planes are currently powered by the aircraft’s electrical systems and usually built into the seatbacks, armrests or in-flight entertainment consule of the seats – a setup that “requires long lengths of wiring and numerous interconnections, which add undesirable cost, weight and complexity to the interior construction,” the company states in the patent.
