The Boeing 747 the plush Party plane available to rent for events at Cotswold Airport
The only Boeing 747 in Europe available to rent for events can be found and rented at Cotswold Airport. Jo Welch, PR and Events Manager: “This is the only B747 events plane in Europe. People can hire it for all kinds of events from private wedding receptions to corporate events.
The #jumbo took 7 months to transform. Because of the vast space on board, we can set up make-up rooms, dressing rooms, stages, and press rooms, all separate from the main event areas. It’s a complete blank canvas that can be tailored to any up-market event.” Courtesy- Aeronews
If there is one thing that we’re full of in The Cotswolds, it’s beautiful venues with stunning surroundings to hold all kinds of lavish events. From Broadway to Bath, whether weddings or corporate, you’re guaranteed to find the perfect venue here. In fact, if you’ve ever visited this glorious beauty spot in the UK, it was probably for one of those two reasons.
“This is the only Boeing 747 events plane in Europe. People can hire it for all kinds of events from private wedding receptions, to corporate events, for example Alfa Romeo hired the 747 for the global launch of their new supercar, the Alfa Romeo Giulia, which was very exciting.
Once arrived in style, in-between exploring the enormous Boeing 747 guests had opportunities to view and test drive the H.R.Owen Ecurie collection of supercars alongside the runway, which not only included fabulous brands such as Aston Martin, Mercedes and Bentley, but excitingly to any car enthusiast, the BAC Mono was on display for all to marvel.
The aircraft took seven months to transform and have everything risk assessed, being an aircraft the risks to overcome were completely different from any other venue. Because of the vast space on-board, we can set up makeup rooms, dressing rooms, stages, press rooms, all separate from the main event areas. It’s a complete blank canvas that can be tailored to any up-market event.
The interior of the enormous aircraft had been meticulously styled by Ruth and Kimberley of Styletopia, using flower displays from Aqua Florist complimented by lighting from WGS Power & Lighting.
For a truly unique event, a Boeing 747 isn’t going to fail to impress your guests, it’ll certainly inspire conversation about the experience and, more importantly for corporates, will leave a positive lasting impression.

Aeroflot Buys Used Planes for Spare Parts Amid Sanctions
In the face of ongoing Western sanctions that have severely impacted Russia’s aviation industry, Aeroflot, the country’s largest airline, has devised a strategic plan to bolster its fleet’s spare parts inventory.
The airline is set to acquire five Boeing 737-800BCF freighters from Atran Airlines, a move that will allow it to dismantle the aircraft for critical components. The planes, which will be transferred to Aeroflot’s low-cost subsidiary Pobeda, will not be converted into passenger jets but instead will be stripped for valuable parts to support existing operations.

Aeroflot’s plan to purchase these Boeing 737-800BCF freighters comes as part of a broader strategy to mitigate the effects of Western sanctions, which have crippled the Russian aviation sector. With the sanctions restricting access to essential aircraft parts and spare components, Aeroflot is exploring alternative ways to maintain and repair its fleet.
Instead of converting the freighters from cargo to passenger planes, a process deemed “unreasonably expensive” under current sanctions, the airline intends to focus on extracting high-value components such as engines, landing gear, avionics, and other essential systems.
The deal will be structured in a way that allows Aeroflot to indirectly purchase the freighters through an insurance settlement with the aircraft’s lessor, AerCap.

The Russian government’s insurance company will reimburse the aircraft’s value, and the planes will then be leased back to local operators. This method circumvents some of the restrictions imposed by international sanctions while ensuring that the airline gains access to the necessary components to support its fleet.
By dismantling the aircraft for spare parts, Aeroflot aims to secure critical resources for the ongoing maintenance of its existing fleet. Components from the Boeing 737-800BCF freighters, such as engines and avionics, are expected to be reused in other aircraft within Aeroflot’s network, ensuring that the airline can keep its operations running smoothly
