The unveiling of the new livery marks an important milestone for Saudia as it continues to enhance its fleet and strengthen its position as a leading global carrier. Passengers can look forward to a visually stunning and refreshed aircraft exterior that reflects the airline’s proud heritage and forward-thinking vision.
The airplane (registration: HZ-ASAC) was captured by aviation photographer Dirk Grothe as it emerged from the paint shop at the Airbus factory in Hamburg-Finkenwerder (XFW). Along with Saudi Arabia’s distinctive dark green on the tail, wingtips, and engine cowlings, the livery includes horizontal green and blue stripes running the length of a white fuselage.
Meanwhile the new livery of the Saudia Boeing 787-10 aircraft with the registration code HZ-AR32. The most noticeable change is in the shade of green used on the tail of the aircraft, which is now darker compared to the previous livery. This means that the color of the tail has been updated to a deeper or more intense green hue.
Furthermore, another distinctive modification is the painting of the engine pod in green. The engine pod refers to the housing or covering of the aircraft engine. In this case, it has been painted to match the green shade used on the tail. This suggests that the aircraft’s new livery incorporates a cohesive color scheme, with both the tail and the engine pod being painted in green.
The debut of this eye-catching livery opens a new chapter in Saudia’s commitment to offering an unforgettable travel experience. The A321neo and Boeing 787-10 welcome customers with an airplane that embodies the airline’s dedication to innovation and excellence from the moment they step on board. The aircraft’s eye-catching livery sets the tone for a voyage that fuses Saudi Arabian hospitality with cutting-edge technology, ensuring a relaxing and enjoyable flight for all passengers.

German Carrier Lufthansa Plans for 20% Job Cuts in Administration
Lufthansa Airlines is reportedly planning significant job cuts in its administrative workforce. According to Manager Magazin, the German carrier intends to reduce administrative positions by 20% as part of its cost-cutting measures amidst an anticipated decline in earnings.
This reduction could impact approximately 400 jobs, the report revealed. While Lufthansa has not directly commented on the layoffs, the airline confirmed its goal of cutting administrative costs by 20% by 2028.

The strategy involves leveraging digital technologies, including artificial intelligence and automation. “A hiring freeze is currently in place for administrative roles at Lufthansa Airlines,” said a company spokesperson.
The staff reduction is expected to occur through natural attrition and age-related turnover, rather than forced layoffs. The internal projection cited by the magazine warns that Lufthansa could face an operating loss of €800 million ($843.92 million) by 2026 if no corrective measures are taken.

As Lufthansa navigates these challenges, the airline appears committed to balancing cost efficiency with digital transformation to maintain its competitiveness in a rapidly evolving industry.
