Saudi Arabian prince killed in Tragic fighter jet crash
According to the kingdom, two crew members were killed when a Saudi Royal Air Force F-15SA fighter jet crashed on Thursday.
At King Abdulaziz Air Base in Dhahran, in the east of the kingdom, a training mission was taking place when the crash happened, according to military spokesperson. Talal bin Abdulaziz bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, 62, passed away, as the Saudi royal court formally declared.
The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh will host funeral prayers for the late royal, according to the statement.
According to SPA, Maliki said that an investigation has been opened to find out what caused the accident on Thursday.
Born in 1961, Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz is the son of Prince Bandar and a descendant of King Abdulaziz, the first Saudi monarch. From 2004 to 2012, he was the assistant intelligence chief at the General Intelligence Presidency (GIP), the Saudi intelligence agency. He was a lieutenant colonel in the Royal Saudi Air Force.
