How powerful is the J-10 Pakistan new Fighter jet ?

The Pakistan Air Force just got its first squadron of 25 J 10 aircraft, China’s newest iteration of the J 10. Pakistan’s air force is being modernized with single-engine medium-weight aircraft.

Because this is the first time the J 10 has been sold outside of China, the purchase is critical for the Chinese aerospace industry.

Let’s discuss about weapon capacity and design. The aircraft’s construction consisted of a delta wing with no tail, fore planes, and a sweptback vertical tail.

The J-10 has 11 exterior hard points: five on the fuselage, one in the centerline, and two on each side, as well as three on each wing.

Air-to-air missiles such as the Chinese Python 3 PL-8, P-11, or PL-12 or the Russian Vympel R-73 or R-77 are carried by the outer wing stations. A derivative of the Israeli Python 3 missile, the PL-8 infrared homing short-range air-to-air missile.

It has a range of 50 miles and a top speed of Mach 4 thanks to Russian AA-12 Adder missile technology combined with a Chinese-developed rocket motor.

Laser-guided bombs, anti-ship YJ-8K or C-801K solid rocket-powered missiles, CHETA’s C-802 ground attack and anti-ship turbojet-powered missiles, and the YJ-9 anti-radiation missile are all options for the aircraft. Internally, above the nosewheel, a 23mm gun is mounted on the port side of the forward part of the fuselage.

The aircraft is equipped with a digital fly-by-wire flight control system with HOTAS control, which provides the pilot with all combat controls in two handholds. A helmet-mounted weapon sight, a wide field of view head-up display, and one full-color and two monochrome liquid crystal multifunction screens are among the cockpit displays.

It has Shenyang -10B afterburning turbofan engines with thrust of 89.17 kN dry and 142 kN with afterburner.
