Embraer Makes a Strong Impression at Paris Air Show 2025
Embraer is putting on an impressive display at the Paris Air Show 2025, held from June 16 to 22 at Le Bourget Airport, with a strategic focus on commercial aviation, defense, and urban air mobility.
Aircraft on Display and Demonstrations
On June 16, Embraer presented key aircraft in both static and flight displays. These included the E195-E2—the world’s most efficient small narrowbody jet—and the KC-390 Millennium, a versatile multi-mission military airlifter.
Also featured was the A-29 Super Tucano light attack and trainer aircraft. These demonstrations drew strong interest and underscored Embraer’s engineering capabilities.
KC-390 Millennium – A Defense Highlight
The KC-390 Millennium attracted significant attention as a cornerstone of Embraer’s defense showcase. The Portuguese Air Force announced a new commitment to acquire a sixth KC-390, with options for 10 additional units.
While not yet a finalized order, the move signals growing European confidence in the aircraft. Already operational in several countries and certified by NATO, the KC-390 is valued for its multi-role flexibility in tactical transport, cargo delivery, and humanitarian missions.
At the show, Embraer provided press tours of the KC-390’s interior and conducted an in-flight demonstration, spotlighting the aircraft’s advanced features and operational strengths. Its dual role as a commercial and defense platform is helping elevate Embraer’s overall presence at the event.
New Contracts and Announcements
Embraer revealed several key deals during the air show. On June 16, a commercial aircraft sale was confirmed with an undisclosed airline, followed by a defense-related contract on June 17. A third announcement was anticipated later that day, though specifics were not disclosed.
A major highlight came with All Nippon Airways (ANA) of Japan finalizing an order for 15 Embraer E190-E2 aircraft with 3 additional options—making ANA the first Japanese operator of the E2 family.
This order marks a significant expansion of Embraer’s presence in Asia and validates the E2’s appeal in the premium regional jet segment.
Industry analysts estimate these deals could total up to $5.9 billion in commercial orders and $720 million in defense contracts, reflecting Embraer’s rising sales momentum.
Urban Air Mobility – Eve Air Mobility
Eve, Embraer’s urban air mobility subsidiary, unveiled new details about its eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) aircraft. Highlights include a modular 15-meter wing and a pilot-friendly, fly-by-wire cockpit design.
Eve also presented its TechCare support services and shared plans for ground and flight testing in 2025. While a reported $250 million order for 50 eVTOL units surfaced on social media platform X, it has not yet been confirmed by official sources.
Strategic Vision and Market Outlook
Embraer released its 2025 Market Outlook, projecting demand for 10,500 sub-150-seat jets and turboprops through 2044.
The company also emphasized its 40-year relationship with Europe, where it supports more than 700 aircraft and maintains strong industrial partnerships—reinforcing its long-term strategic footprint in the region.
Analyst and Investor Insights
Financial analysts from Itaú BBA and JPMorgan are bullish on Embraer’s performance, noting that each $500 million in new contracts could result in a 2% increase in the company’s share value.
XP Investimentos pointed out that, despite previous underwhelming results at air shows, Embraer may exceed expectations this year with a stronger-than-anticipated showing.Embraer’s participation at the Paris Air Show 2025 is marked by impactful product displays, key defense and commercial announcements, and forward-looking innovations in urban air mobility.
The attention garnered by the KC-390 Millennium and Eve’s eVTOL program, along with ANA’s historic E2 order, further cements Embraer’s role as a versatile and competitive player in the global aerospace market.
