DGCA derosters SpiceJet crew after video of mid-air wedding goes viral
Madurai: A wedding on a chartered flight received full marks for creativity, but it is being investigated for violating Covid-safety laws. According to ANI, the aviation regulator has requested a report, and the SpiceJet flight crew has been taken off duty for the investigation. The bride and groom, as well as their families, could face legal action because SpiceJet claims that passengers did not obey rules despite repeated requests.
The young couple from Madurai, Tamil Nadu – the state is currently under lockdown to investigate Covid – booked a flight to Bengaluru and married in the air. According to photographs and videos that have gone viral online, their friends, relatives, and guests were all on the Boeing 737 plane.
