The first 737-8 aircraft from Boeing [NYSE:BA] has been delivered to Bonza, a new airline that will operate the new 737 MAX in Australia for the first time. In order to mark the occasion and welcome the fuel-efficient 737-8 to its Sunshine Coast base, Bonza conducted an arrival ceremony.
Who owns the airline Bonza?
Tim Jordan, the founder and chief executive officer of Bonza, stated: “Bonza’s objective is to encourage more travel by offering more choices and ultra-low costs, particularly into leisure destinations where travel is now often restricted to connections via big cities”. The dynamic commercial aviation sector in Australia has inspired Bonza to develop a fresh business strategy. We are sure that the airline will be able to give its passengers a comfortable flight and a more environmentally friendly way to tour the entire nation due to the fuel-efficient 737-8 aircrafts.
The 737-8 will help Bonza improve its domestic operations while using 20% less fuel, emitting 50% less carbon dioxide, and leaving a 50% smaller noise footprint than earlier generations of aircraft. The 737 MAX family of aircraft features the most recent CFM International LEAP-1B engines, advanced winglets, and other aerodynamic improvements to enhance performance and save operating costs.
The 737 MAX is flown by more than 40 airlines worldwide, and since late 2020, it has completed more than 720,000 revenue flights totaling more than 1.8 million flying hours. Bonza, based in Australia’s Sunshine Coast, has indicated a willingness to expanding its fleet by seven 737 MAX aircraft within its first year of operation. Subject to regulatory approval, the airline is working hard to start flights as early as late September. Additionally, the airline has asked residents to participate in a national social media campaign to help name its aircraft.
