The ‘awwa sky whale’ – Concept 3 Decker aircraft

Designed by Oscar Vinals, this triple-decker whale-like plane with a self-healing skin, active wings and carbon nanotubes can greatly reduce air and noise pollution.The ‘awwa sky whale’ is a concept plane developed by spanish designer oscar viñals that incorporates environmentally friendly technical solutions. combining regular airplanes with future ideas such as a blended wing body (BWB) or hybrid wing body architecture (hwb), the solution reduces aircraft drag, weight, fuel consumption as well as oxides of nitrogen emissions of the engine.

equipped with advanced technologies such as alloys, a carbon nanotube and fiber optic cabling, the wings also have an active air flow control system with an eccentric turbine inside to redirect laminar air flow and turbulence, while also producing electric energy for the hybrid engines.

The aircraft’s engines use both fuel to burn in the core, and electricity to turn the turbofan when it is powered down.they rotate up to 45 degrees in a vertical position to assist in take-off and landing maneuvers. the ‘awwa sky whale’ has a seating capacity for 755 passengers, allocated across three levels.
