Air Force Boeing C-40C carrying Nancy Pelosi lands safely in Taiwan

A huge setback to China’s geopolitical ambitions is said to have occurred when US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi landed in Taiwan on Tuesday evening. She subsequently makes history by going to the self-governing island that China claims as its own for the first time in 25 years as a high-ranking American official.

The most tracked aircraft in the world was Pelosi’s flight when it left Kuala Lumpur for Taiwan, holding the registration SPAR19. As the Asian military may claim Taiwan as part of its territory, to be annexed by force if necessary, and regards visits by foreign government leaders as recognition of the island’s sovereignty, Pelosi’s visit has strained relations between China and the United States.

The SPAR19, a US Air Force aircraft, departed Kuala Lumpur for Taiwan with Nancy Pelosi on board, according to reports. More internet users followed Nancy Pelosi’s journey than any other aircraft in the website’s history, according to flight tracking service FlightRadar24.

According to FlightRadar24, “SPAR19,” a US Air Force-operated Boeing C-40C, is being tracked by nearly 300,000 individuals. Despite there being no official confirmation, Pelosi’s early arrival in Taiwan proved she was in fact travelling on the SPAR19, which touched down in Taiwan at 10.44 PM. The Chinese government social media claimed significant military activity in the Taiwan Straits as the Taiwan media reported on her arrival. Based on a social media account cited by the state-run China Daily, Su-35 fighter jets from the PLA Air Force are flying across the Taiwan Straits.

She took off from Malaysia as the militaries of China, Taiwan, and the US were on high alert and Beijing was yelling loudly and angrily about how her visit violated its sovereignty because Taiwan is its property. On Wednesday, Pelosi was scheduled to meet with Taiwanese President Tsi-Ing-wen, who China accuses of being a separatist, and spend the day touring the island, which would include some of the industrial units.

The impact led to an immediate fire, and the aircraft subsequently plunged into a gorge on the eastern side of the runway. Rescue operations commenced swiftly, with police and firefighters arriving at the scene to control the situation.

The aviation authority confirmed that rescue efforts were initiated immediately, but the crash underscores the persistent dangers associated with air travel in Nepal. The country’s challenging mountainous terrain often contributes to aviation risks.
