Child, 11, dies after Turkish Airlines flight makes emergency landing in Budapest

An 11-year-old boy died after losing consciousness on a Turkish Airlines trip from Istanbul to New York, with medical staff unable to resuscitate the child when the jet made an emergency landing in Budapest, according to news agency MTI.

According to officials, an ambulance was waiting to take the child and his family to the hospital after the plane made an emergency landing there in Budapest at around 10:30 a.m.

MTI stated that the Airport Medical Service was dispatched to the site after flight TK003 landed in Budapest on Sunday, but the child could not be rescued despite immediate medical assistance.

A representative for the airport said, “Airport Medical Service (AMS), the medical service present at Ferenc Liszt International Airport, was informed of the aircraft and continued to resuscitate the child.

Sadly, his life was unable to be saved despite the quick and competent intervention. To reach its original journey, the airplane continued its flight.
