Longstanding alliance partners, Virgin Australia and Singapore Airlines, have today resumed the sale of Virgin Australia codeshare flights to a host of destinations on Singapore Airlines’ global network.

Customers can now make direct reservations on virginaustralia.com for seamless travel between Australia, Asia, Africa, Europe, and beyond.

The action follows the resumption of redemption bookings and mileage/Points conversion for KrisFlyer and Velocity members earlier this year as the next step in restoring the carrier’s partnership to pre-pandemic operations. While earning miles and points has remained constant throughout the pandemic, today’s announcement enables customers to take advantage of all the partnership’s rewards and advantages as demand for international travel keeps rising.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Virgin Australia and Singapore Airlines kept improving their traveller offerings by partnering in one of the most advantageous frequent flyer programme alliances in the world. Customers can now access a wide range of domestic and international destinations through the networks of both airlines thanks to the partnership, opening up a world of convenient travel options.

Virgin Australia will operate codeshare flights on 42 Singapore Airlines routes that span 23 nations. These routes will connect Singapore Airlines’ hub city of Singapore with Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, Seoul in South Korea, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and Paris in Europe, London in the United Kingdom, and Jakarta in Indonesia. Virgin Australia’s domestic and international network now includes Queenstown in New Zealand, with Singapore Airlines continuing to offer codeshare flights on 64 routes covering 31 destinations.

Subject to regulatory approval, the two carriers will continue to collaborate to increase codeshare flights to more locations across Singapore Airlines’ network in the upcoming weeks. With today’s announcement, Singapore Airlines flights will once more use the Virgin Australia airline code, “VA,” on arrival and departure boards all over the world.

  • A cocooned 60-inch curved wall for privacy while maintaining a spacious feel.

Passengers traveling together can enjoy a shared experience with a sliding divider that creates a lounge-like space. The stowable tables also allow for “buddy dining,” where two people can dine together.

The cabin’s flowing curves, inspired by the iconic Concorde wings, create a welcoming and stylish environment. Additionally, passengers can now wheel their luggage directly into their personal storage space, making settling in easier.
