Qantas Unveils A350 Cabin including world first wellbeing zone
Qantas has displayed the whole cabin design of their specially designed Airbus A350s, which will begin flying direct from Sydney to New York and London in late 2025 and will be the final frontier of long-haul travel.
The airline unveiled the rest of the aircraft interior, including a unique dedicated Wellbeing Zone, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins, in February, after showcasing its luxurious First and Business cabins.

Between the Premium Economy and Economy cabins, Qantas will be the first airline in the world to offer a specially designed “Wellbeing Zone” with sculpted wall panels and integrated stretch handles, a guided on-screen exercise programme, a hydration station, and a variety of beverages.
The 140-seat Economy cabin and the 40-seat Premium Economy cabin, which were just shown, will offer the largest seat pitches of any Qantas aircraft, as well as ergonomic leg and footrest systems and personal storage options.
Each premium seat will also have integrated wireless charging, and each seat in all four cabins will have numerous fast USB-C charging outlets. The Qantas A350 fleet will link passengers more than any other with quick, unlimited WiFi, and Bluetooth connectivity will be available in every cabin so that passengers can connect their personal headphones with the customized in-flight entertainment screen.
Qantas also released the world-first scientific research today on reducing jet lag and improving sleep and overall well-being before, during and after ultra-long-haul flights, which has driven the unique cabin design of the Qantas A350s.

The largest apparent modification is the addition of headrest wings, which will give passengers more support and a sense of privacy without excluding them from their traveling companions. The body can be cradled in a reclined position by a system of cushioned ergonomic foot and leg rests to improve guests’ sleep.
“Economy travelers also have a foot net, a 13” OLED TV, and easy-access storage for their personal goods and glasses. The team spent a lot of time testing the new Economy seat’s ergonomics, lumbar support, and breathability. It will offer 33 inches of legroom.

PIA Reinstates Manchester and Paris Routes After EU Ban Lift
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced plans to resume flights to Europe starting in January, beginning with Paris as its first destination.
The decision follows the European Union Aviation Safety Agency’s (EASA) removal of a long-standing ban on the airline. PIA’s inaugural flight to Paris is scheduled for January 10, with bookings opening on December 9.
DOT Proposes New Passenger Compensation Rules for Flight Disruptions
In an official statement, PIA spokesperson Abdullah Hafeez Khan confirmed that the first flight schedule has been approved, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s recovery efforts. The EU ban had previously cost PIA approximately Rs40 billion ($144 million) annually in lost revenue, compounding its financial struggles.
With European operations restarting, PIA is now setting its sights on the United Kingdom. The airline plans to seek approval from the UK Department for Transport (DfT) to resume flights to major British cities such as London, Manchester, and Birmingham.
