First Look: IndiGo Takes Delivery of A321neo with New Business Class
India’s largest domestic airline, IndiGo (6E), celebrated its 18th anniversary in August 2024 by announcing a major upgrade: a new Business Class product called “IndiGo Stretch.”
Now, the airline has officially taken delivery of its first Airbus A321neo aircraft fitted with these premium seats. Registered as VT-ICF, this first A321neo with the new configuration took off from Hamburg (XFW) at 6:06 PM local time, operating flight 6E9001.

The launch route for IndiGo’s A321neo with IndiGo Stretch seats will be from Delhi to Mumbai, starting November 14, 2024. After this initial route, the airline plans to expand the offering across its network.
Airbus completed the final assembly of this special aircraft in Hamburg, where the A321neo Final Assembly Line is located. Enthusiastic planespotters got a sneak peek of the new IndiGo Stretch interior before the aircraft’s official delivery to India.
Tobias Gudat, a planespotter on X.com, captured images of the aircraft, still marked with its test registration, showcasing its fresh Business Class interior.
Adding a distinctive touch, each IndiGo aircraft featuring the Stretch product will have the slogan “IndiGo Means Business” displayed on the fuselage, signaling a new era of premium travel for the airline.

IndiGo took delivery of the A321neo with the Stretch seats on October 30, 2024, coinciding with Airbus’s delivery of the world’s first A321XLR to Iberia.

Air India and Singapore Airlines Expand Codeshare to 51 New Destinations
Air India and Singapore Airlines (SIA) are taking their partnership to new heights with a significant expansion of their codeshare agreement.
Starting October 27, 2024, the two airlines will add 11 Indian cities and 40 international destinations to their shared network, marking the most extensive expansion since their initial collaboration in 2010. This move will offer travelers more seamless travel options between Singapore, India, and beyond.

The expanded agreement will see both airlines increasing their codeshare services between Singapore and key Indian cities like air india bengaluru-heathrow and Chennai. This will boost the total weekly scheduled codeshare flights between the two countries from 14 to 56, providing more flexibility and convenience for travelers.
Through the codeshare, SIA will gain access to air india domestic flights connecting cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and others to regional hubs like Amritsar, Coimbatore, Lucknow, Jaipur, and Goa, among others. Meanwhile, air india new routes 2025 customers will benefit from access to SIA’s extensive network, reaching 29 destinations across Asia-Pacific, air india a350 routes including major cities in Australia, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam.
Air India Expands International Routes with Bengaluru to London Heathrow Flights
In addition, SIA passengers will now be able to connect via Air India’s international flights from Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai to 12 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This includes major hubs like Paris, Frankfurt, London, and more.
Both airlines aim to further expand their codeshare network in the future, subject to regulatory approvals. Passengers will soon be able to book these expanded services through the airlines’ respective booking platforms, in flight wifi air india offering more choices and smoother connections on their journeys.
