ANA Receives Second Airbus A380 FLYING HONU
How many Airbus A380 does ANA have?
TOKYO, May 18, 2019 — All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s largest and 5-Star airline for seven consecutive years, received the second of three Airbus A380 FLYING HONU on May 15, 2019.
While offering the same high standard of performance, comfort and safety as ANA’s other A380 which the airline received in March, this second FLYING HONU plane also has a unique livery. Inspired by the crystal-clear water of the ocean surrounding Hawaii, the green livery depicts the face of a Hawaiian Honu (turtle) with a welcoming smile.
Where does ANA A380 fly to?
While ANA had previously announced that its second FLYING HONU would first operate flights starting in July, the airline has taken delivery ahead of schedule. This accelerated timeframe means it will now be ready to begin operations in June.
Starting from May 24, FLYING HONU will begin serving three roundtrips per week on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday departure from Tokyo Narita to Honolulu. From July 1, the Honolulu route frequency increases to ten roundtrips per week serviced by the FLYING HONU.
The Airbus A380 FLYING HONU is among the most advanced aircraft in the world, and is a symbol of ANA’s commitment to offer passengers the absolute best. Doubling ANA’s capacity to provide top-of-the-line service between Narita and Honolulu, the arrival of the second FLYING HONU plane is cause for celebration.
