Southwest Airlines Extends Flight Schedule Through March 6, 2024, and Adds New Flights

Southwest Airlines Co. has extended the availability of its flights through March 6, 2024, allowing customers to plan their early 2024 getaways.

The addition of a new seasonal nonstop service was also announced by Southwest® today. Southwest will begin service on Saturdays between Omaha, Nebraska, and Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood, Florida, starting on January 13, 2024.

In order to provide easy flights for Customers to escape the winter cold, Southwest will also start up a number of seasonal routes as early as January 8, 2024. Southwest will resume daily service between Dallas and Palm Springs, California, and between Dallas and Fort Myers, Florida, on January 8, 2024. Southwest will start operating Sunday flights between Dallas and Louisville, Ky., a few days later, on Jan. 14, 2024.

The airline will also bring back routes linking cities across the United States to many Florida destinations. Customers can now book seasonal weekend service beginning on Sat., Jan. 13, 2024, between:

Albany, N.Y.         and        Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood, Fla.  
Phoenix                 and        Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood, Fla.
Buffalo, N.Y.         and        Fort Myers, Fla.
Louisville, Ky.      and        Fort Myers, Fla
Providence, R.I.   and        Fort Myers, Fla.
Cleveland              and        Tampa, Fla.  
Cincinnati             and        Orlando, Fla.
Detroit                    and        Orlando, Fla.
Minneapolis/St. Paul and Orlando, Fla. (offered Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Weekends)

Beginning on the same day, the airline will offer weekly service on Saturdays between:

Hartford, Conn. and Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood, Fla.  
Grand Rapids, Mich. and Fort Myers, Fla.
Washington, D.C. (Reagan National) and Fort Myers, Fla.
Minneapolis/St. Paul and Tampa, Fla.

On Jan. 14, 2024, the airline will offer nonstop service on Sundays between Louisville, Ky., and Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood, Fla.

  • Adjustable mood lighting with modes like “relax,” “dine,” and “cinema.”
  • A cocooned 60-inch curved wall for privacy while maintaining a spacious feel.

Passengers traveling together can enjoy a shared experience with a sliding divider that creates a lounge-like space. The stowable tables also allow for “buddy dining,” where two people can dine together.

The cabin’s flowing curves, inspired by the iconic Concorde wings, create a welcoming and stylish environment. Additionally, passengers can now wheel their luggage directly into their personal storage space, making settling in easier.
